Whilst we ensure the highest level of treatment when you are ill, it is also our objective to first help you stay healthy. This is why we place such importance on preventive medicine. Regular, personalised Health Screening will detect any medical condition, health issue, or early signs of disease that you may be suffering from. With awareness about your personal health, it is possible to make changes to your lifestyle in order to prevent future health issues, as well as keep a close eye on risk areas based on your family history.

Preventive healthcare for you and your family
“Over the years, many patients have been incidentally diagnosed with a condition during a health screening at our centre” – Dr A Daniel
Benefits of Regular Health Screening
There are three important reasons for regular health screening:
- Early detection of health issues
- Peace of mind
- Understanding on how you can improve your health
Common conditions such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and strokes can be prevented with advance awareness. Furthermore, bowel, breast, ovary, testis and prostate cancer that are diagnosed at an early stage, means the prospects for successful treatment are much higher. Being aware of health risks that could affect you and your family can help prevent conditions materialising at all, as you are able to make educated decisions. This is why our Health Screening service is valued so highly by our patients wanting peace of mind that their health, and that of their loved ones, is protected. Our screening covers tests for all the main preventable conditions, including:
- Diabetes Type 2
- High Blood Pressure
- Coronary Heart Disease
- Bowel Cancer
- Ovarian Cancer
- Cervical Cancer
- Prostate Cancer
- Skin Cancer
- Liver function
- Kidney Function
- Osteoarthritis
Health Screening for young people
Health Screening isn’t just important as you age, it is important for people of all ages. It is common now for young people to commit to taking control of their health and taking the right action to ensure they keep their bodies healthy and free from disease. Health Screening is one way to determine any problem areas and discuss family history that could affect future health conditions.

Why is health screening important?
Being aware of your health means you can take control over it and make educated decisions. Health screening provides early detection of health issues and uncovers risk areas for concern. Early diagnosis usually means treatment success is enhanced and in many cases issues can be prevented all together. Screening can provide reassurance and prevent you from worrying unnecessarily over minor matters too.
What are the benefits of the health screening offered at Foresight Medical Centre?
There are plenty of clinics, centres and hospitals that carry out health screening tests. At Foresight Medical Centre our focus is on giving you a tailored health screen to suit your personal requirements, age and gender. We specialise in preventative medicine and combine our expertise with new and innovative technology to ensure you receive the highest quality of health screening.
Does the Health Screening at Foresight Medical Centre cover everything?
- Diabetes Type 2
- High Blood Pressure
- Coronary Heart Disease
- Bowel Cancer
- Ovarian Cancer
- Cervical Cancer
- Breast Cancer
- Prostate Cancer
- Skin Cancer
- Liver Function
- Kidney Function
- Osteoarthritis
Does your health screening include a full body scan?
A whole body scan or PET scan is not a good pre-emptive test. It has not been demonstrated as effective in detecting any particular disease early enough for useful diagnosis. To this extent we do not include a full body scan.
Should I fast before my health screening?
Yes, you should fast for at least six hours before your appointment. You can drink water, coffee or tea without milk or sugar.
I suffer from a particular problem. Should I do a health screen?
A health screen may be useful. However, it would be more appropriate to make an appointment for a consultation. The doctor can then advise on any course of action, including tests or a comprehensive health screening.
